Individual psychotherapy sessions last 45-50 minutes and involves one-on-one conversations with the therapist. Sessions may be scheduled once, twice or three times per week depending upon the needs of the client. ILTS takes an individualized approach, formulating a treatment plan that is dependent upon the needs of the client. Most treatments draw from a combination of relational, interpersonal, cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavior techniques to aid the client in learning new and more functional coping mechanisms and interpersonal communication skills.
ILTS advocates a team approach when necessary, working with nutritionists, physicians and psychiatrists to aid the client in their growth and development.
